Capacitive Coupling was first introduced to Australia back in 1996. Originally it was imported in from America where it had already been accepted as the Number 1 Electronic method for rust proofing and had been protecting vehicles from as early as 1987. This older radio type technology from America has now been discarded as it is nowhere near as effective as what CouplerTec currently use.
The early days were not easy, the Australian public could not accept that an electronic box could take the place of smelly old fish oil. Field tests and trials were carried out on mining vehicles, surf life saving vehicles, government and council vehicles.
The results of course were fantastic and that paved the way to our success in the Australian market. The BHP Coal Mines in Central Qld are still fitting CouplerTec systems to every new 4WD that goes on site and have been doing so since early 2001.
Unfortunately unscrupulous marketers of electronic boxes claiming to be the same technology or even worse, claiming to have a product equal in performance to CouplerTec have marred our climb to market leaders in this field. The problem here is that when these cheap imitations fail to deliver what is promised and the vehicles they are fitted to start to rust, it is not the brand name that is blamed for the failure, it is the concept. We know CouplerTec works, we can prove it!
Today, CouplerTec Computerised Capacitive Coupling can be found protecting vehicles from corrosion almost everywhere, we supply many coastal councils, the majority of mining companies and even the rural industry with systems that are saving thousands of dollars in maintenance and corrosion repairs.
